Dan’s a serial entrepreneur who has spent his career founding and leading organizations in the technology, technology services and non-profit industries. Much of his career has been spent helping Fortune 500 companies to solve critical business issues by better leveraging people, processes and technologies. At Front Four, Dan’s responsibilities span strategic planning, corporate finance and development as well as establishing the mission, vision and values of the company. Dan is also responsible for ensuring Front Four’s consistent and generous commitments to a number of local and national charities to include Team IMPACT and The ROSE Fund.
The organizations he’s founded and led have served more than 100 of the Fortune 500 companies across a range of industries to include Financial Services, Telecommunications High Tech and Healthcare. Prior to Front Four, Dan was the co-founder, President and CEO of Darwin Partners where for more than 17 years he led the company from its inception as a local IT services firm with a few employees through its national expansion into a business and technology consulting firm with more than 1200 people and in excess of $150 Million in annual revenue. Darwin’s offerings and solutions were consistently focused on addressing the top 5 business and technology imperatives of the CEO and CIO at their client companies. Key clients included GE Healthcare, Siemens Medical, Travelers Insurance, Kaiser Permanente, Epsilon, T-Mobile, EMC and Sun Microsystems. During this tenure the company was twice recognized by INC magazine as one of the fastest growing 500 companies in the country having achieved average annual growth rates of more than 50+% throughout the 1990’s.
Currently Dan serves on the board of director’s of Team IMPACT, a non-profit he founded with a group of college friends chartered to profoundly improve the quality of life for children facing life threatening and chronic illnesses. Team IMPACT children are drafted onto local college athletic teams where they become, to the greatest extent possible, official members of the team for the duration of their treatment and beyond. In addition to Chairing Front Four’s Board, Dan sits on the Board of Directors for both Team IMPACT and the ROSE Fund. Prior board experience includes Darwin Partners, a provider of IT services and solutions, Cogentric, a software company that was focused on enterprise risk management, Brintnall and Nicolini, a pharmaceutical research and consulting firm, The Massachusetts Governor’s Council to Address Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence (GCSDV), and the Fish House Foundation, providing college scholarships to deserving youth.
Dan has also participated as a presenter at seminars and on a number of speaking panels, addressing such topics as “Building Organizations to Scale”, “Strategic and Project Planning” “Leadership through Turbulent Times”, “Employee Performance Management” and “Managing Rapid Growth”.
Dan earned a degree in Economics from Tufts University and in addition to spending time with friends and family he is an avid skier, an inconsistent golfer.
