Dennis Baldwin is the Founder and Managing Partner of Breakaway Ventures, an investment firm that partners with emerging consumer brands. He has over 25 years of experience as an investor, operator, consultant and advisor to brands in the consumer sector. His expertise ranges from venture investing to strategic planning, brand marketing and business development.
Prior to founding Breakaway, Dennis served as Chief Marketing Officer of Reebok International, where he was responsible for leading marketing and product creation for the brand worldwide. He was a key member of the senior management team that led the dramatic turnaround and sale of the brand to the Adidas Group for approximately $4 Billion. Prior to joining Reebok, Dennis was a Management Consultant with Ernst and Young.
Dennis graduated from Cornell University with an MS in Industrial Relations and from Union College with a BA in Economics, where he also competed in both Varsity Ice Hockey and Lacrosse.
Currently, Dennis is a Trustee of the Fireman Family Foundation, a Trustee of The Rivers School in Weston, MA and a member of the President’s Council at Union College. He resides in Needham, MA with his wife Lori and their three children Samantha, Matthew and Nicole.
