TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Swimming and Diving's newest addition is Team IMPACT athlete Elise Scoby, who officially signed on Saturday.  

Team IMPACT is an organization that allows children facing serious illness or disability to be a part of college athletic teams across the country. The program strives to create a sense of community, belonging and empowerment, encouraging resilience among both the children and teams.  

Elise is an Arizona native and daughter to Arizona alum Janet and Robert. The 11-year-old is described by family and friends as empathetic, loving and witty. Alongside her love for comedy shows like Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball, she is an old soul who understands how important it is to live life to the fullest and enjoy the ride with all the ups and downs.  

On Saturday, Elise was formally welcomed to the swimming and diving rosters with an official signing day ceremony.
