Women's Lacrosse Announces Signing of Team IMPACT Hero Aubrie Ruppert

Richmond, Va. - The University of Richmond women's lacrosse program announced it's biggest signing of the 2023 recruiting class Saturday afternoon with a signing day party for nine-year-old Aubrie Ruppert of Moseley, Va..

Team IMPACT has created relationships that have enhanced the lives of thousands of courageous children and touched the lives of tens of thousands of student athletes across the country. The team behind Team IMPACT is honored and inspired to continue to expand the long-standing tradition of athletes contributing to something far greater than themselves. The student athletes in the program extend their commitment to their team, to each other, to provide sick children in their local community a profound sense of belonging, by demonstrating their steadfast support for each and every member of the team through adversity both on and off the field.

At the end of the fall, the Spiders welcomed Aubrie to their team who was matched with them through Team IMPACT. Aubrie is nine years old and lives with her family is Moseley, VA. She is bright, social, and loves to be around others. After being matched at the end of the fall, Aubrie has already inspired her new teammates with her strength and resilience. She reminds her teammates that it takes perseverance and patience to overcome challenges.

Her new teammates are so excited to have Aubrie be apart of their family and to share what being a Spider is all about.

The team will honor Aubrie at halftime at their game tomorrow against Navy.
