Donor Policy

When our donors give to us, they join our team—Team IMPACT—and we cannot use “Team” in our name without living up to those ideals. So, what does that mean in terms of Donor Privacy?

Simply put: you are part of our team and we will protect your name and personal information.

Team IMPACT strongly believes in protecting the integrity and privacy of personal information gathered from our supporters through all our communication channels, as well as from visitors to our website. We will be transparent and trustworthy. We will not sell, share, or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, not send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. We will provide the ability to opt-out as a link in every mass-email message. Those that wish to opt-out will be placed on a Board Approved Discontinue Contact List, which will remove the donor from solicitation and other mailing lists. We will not mishandle or act irresponsibly with your personal information. We will not fumble, bobble, throw up an airball, or otherwise strike out. We will not let our teammates down.

Team IMPACT greatly respects and protects your privacy and we will never sell or rent your personal information to other individuals or companies. The information that you provide is used only to complete your donation.

If you make donations through Team IMPACT’s website, our use of your data may include the use of the information we collect in accordance with this Privacy Policy for the following purposes:

  • To provide the services that you request and to communicate with you regarding such services;
  • To respond to your inquiries and to contact you about changes to the website;
  • To send you notices or our e-newsletter (if you have signed up to receive it);
  • To provide and maintain the website, help diagnose problems with the website, and to administer and audit usage of the website;
  • For statistical analysis and internal business purposes such as identifying trends.
  • For any other purposes disclosed at the time the information is collected or to which you consent; and
  • As otherwise specifically described in this Privacy Policy.

When we collect payment information, in order to process one-time and/or recurring fees, those charges are processed through a credit card company processing company. The company does not retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

Donors may choose to register to receive additional information or services from us. When they register, we request personal information such as name, email address and/or telephone number, and we may ask for other information to enable us to provide a more relevant, personalized service. The information provided may be stored in our database, however we endeavor to limit our requests for personal information to information we believe is minimally necessary to achieve our collection purpose. We may also supplement your profile information with publicly available data such as zip codes and other demographic information.

Donor Legal Compliance

Though Team IMPACT makes every effort to preserve our donor and customer privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when we have good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order, or legal process served on our organization.

Charitable Solicitation Disclosure

We currently do not use a Charitable Solicitation Disclosure as we do not currently use any other entities for professional fundraising purposes.

Changes to the Policy

Team IMPACT periodically reviews and updates this Privacy Policy. If we decide to change this Privacy Policy, we will post these changes to our website, so our donors and customers are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We may also, in our sole discretion, notify you of such changes via our e-newsletter or email to your email address that we have in our records. By continuing to access or use our website after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
