We invite alumni, parents and friends of campuses with Team IMPACT matches to a friendly fundraising competition throughout the tournament. While there are only four teams left in the match madness fundraising finals, you can donate in support of any match that experienced the tournament this year.
The top fundraising campus will win a special gathering for their Team IMPACT basketball match and their team.
Rylan and Brennon Head to Houston
Ryland and UConn
Diagnosed with a chronic immune condition, 11-year-old Rylan has been matched with the UConn men’s basketball team since 2018. The Ellington, Connecticut native loves attending games with his dad, who is a former college athlete himself. Rylan received his Team IMPACT surprise on a birthday Zoom call, where the Huskies players joined to share the news and sing Happy Birthday.
Brennon and Miami
15-year-old Brennon from Ave Maria, FL, was born with a heart condition that continues to impact his health. He has been matched with the Miami men’s basketball team for three years now. He has developed close relationships with many of the players and has become well-known for his inspirational pre-game speeches that he frequently cites for the team before games.
A Sweet 16 Surprise
Heading into the Sweet 16, three Division I Men’s Basketball teams are matched with Team IMPACT teammates. All three children received a surprise of a lifetime this week when they joined a call with their teammates and learned that Team IMPACT was sending them on an all-expense paid trip to the next round of the tournament. Rylan matched with University of Connecticut, Jace matched with University of Houston, and Brennon matched with University of Miami are settling into Las Vegas and Kansas City respectively, ready to support their team as they do at home.
