TD Garden Hosts Team IMPACT at Annual Beanpot Tournament

After weeks of some of the best hockey in college athletics, Logan and his Terriers lifted the trophy as the 2025 Beanpot Champs in a packed TD Garden arena. The Beanpot Championship is one of the oldest and most prestigious events in college hockey, going back 72 years. For the third consecutive year, TD Garden welcomed Logan, Josh, Parker, and Simon, matched with BU, BC, Harvard, and Northeastern respectively, and their families to the big tournament.

All four men’s teams have been matched through Team IMPACT since the fall of 2022, when Logan signed with the Terriers, joining Josh, who was matched with BC in 2019; Simon, who became a Huskie in 2021; and Parker, who joined Harvard Hockey in the summer of 2022. In the seasons since, the boys have come together at each Beanpot Tournament, touring the Garden, being recognized on the ice, getting some screentime on the JumboTron, interviewing with media, posing for pictures, and spending time together in the stands.

This year’s Beanpot was also special as it marked the first year all four women’s Beanpot teams also participate in Team IMPACT. Luna was matched with BC women’s hockey in June of 2024, followed closely by Avery with BU hockey a month later. In December, Paytton joined the Crimson, and just this week Eleanor was matched with the Huskies.

“Events like the men’s and women’s Beanpot tournaments exemplify the strength of competition across New England while also unifying Boston College, Boston University, Harvard, and Northeastern in their shared support of Team IMPACT,” said Mackenzie Clark, Northeast Regional Director of Development at Team IMPACT. “We are honored to be recognized alongside these schools as they continue to be incredible teammates to Josh, Luna, Simon, Avery, Parker, Paytton, Logan, Eleanor, and all the Team IMPACT families across the city of Boston.”

As the Terriers celebrated their victory in the 72nd men’s Beanpot tournament, it was the Northeastern Huskies who hoisted the trophy last month in the 46th annual women’s Beanpot tournament with a 4-0 victory over BU. It was also the Huskies who were victorious last month when they took home the trophy at the second annual Team IMPACT Beanpong Tournament, hosting by DICK’S House of Sport. On the men’s side, the BC Eagles and Josh secured the win. Sponsored by DICK’S Sporting Goods and honeygrow and with more than 100 hockey student-athletes representing Boston University, Boston College, Northeastern University, and Harvard University, this event highlighted the Beanpot schools’ shared support of Team IMPACT across the city of Boston.

“The Beanpot is an incredible tradition here in Boston carried out by some of the city’s most notable collegiate athletes,” said Joe Daniels, CEO, Team IMPACT. “We are so proud to have these athletes participating in our program and their relationships with their matched teammates exemplify the pillars of Team IMPACT and what we aim to achieve.”

The Beanpot Championship stands as a testament to the spirit of friendly competition, the power of collegiate athletics, and the growth of Team IMPACT across the region. As we look forward to continuing to deepen Team IMPACT’s reach across the city of Boston and beyond, we are reminded of the community and network of support that come through sport, whether on the ice or at the ping pong table.
