Alex joined Team IMPACT in April of 2020 and serves as our Fellowship Coordinator and as a Case Manager across the country but primarily on the West Coast. In this role, she supports families and college athletic teams throughout their match by fostering communication and celebrating milestones to ensure the best possible outcomes for all.
Alex earned a Masters of Social Work and a Masters in Sport Management from Florida State University. She spent many weekends volunteering at Camp Boggy Creek and coordinating the College of Social Work Arts and Athletics Camp. Prior to joining the Team IMPACT team, Alex worked for Hang Tough Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works with Tallahassee families who have children with life-altering or chronic illnesses or special needs. With that background and experience, Alex was thrilled to join Team IMPACT and continue working with children and families to bring a sense of normality in trying times.
Alex grew up in sunny Florida and in her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog! Some of her favorite activities include going to CrossFit classes, cooking, and cheering on the Boston Bruins.
When asked the question, “Why Team IMPACT?” Alex said:
I have always believed in the power of sport to bring people together! When I learned about the amazing work Team IMPACT was doing, I knew it was something I wanted to be apart of. As a college athlete myself, I knew I had the ability to create change, and through Team IMPACT I get to create a little change each and every day!
