In this role, she is busy creating and building out the Development Team’s operations system. She will manage all of the Development team’s gift processing, Board reporting, donor engagement and stewardship, prospecting, strategic corporate partnerships, and event planning/management. Prior to Team IMPACT, Alexa worked for Vice President of Development at Northeastern University.

Armstrong, originally from San Diego, CA, received her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Services in 2016 from Northeastern University. Most recently, Alexa completed her Master’s degree in Sports Leadership with a concentration in Professional Sports Administration at Northeastern, while also working full-time in Development. While at Northeastern, Alexa studied abroad in Australia and competed in the Australian UNI games on the University of Sydney’s Volleyball team, backpacked Southeast Asia for six weeks, and started a non-profit servicing children in need in Kenya implementing counseling, nutrition, and athletic programs. She was a four year member and one-year captain of the Women’s Varsity Volleyball team, as well as the SAAC Vice President and NCAA and CAA conference representative for the University.

When asked the question, “Why Team IMPACT?” Alexa said:
I could not be more excited to join the Team IMPACT staff! It has been my dream to work for an organization that uses the power of sport to transform lives because of the impact being a student-athlete has had on me personally and professionally. Having the opportunity to positively change children’s, families, and student-athletes lives, all while forming a community of passionate volunteers, donors, and partners across the nation is truly a special experience that I wanted to be a part of. The Team IMPACT mission and committed staff inspire me every day, and I am looking forward to being a part of the organization’s huge growth these next couple of years!
