National Director of Programs
Amy VanRyn joined Team IMPACT in January of 2013 and currently she serves as the Director of Programs. In this role, she is responsible for the ultimate oversight of case management and the strategic initiatives of the programmatic side of the organization, including both medical and athletic outreach. When she first came to Team IMPACT, she was in the capacity of Director of Partnerships.
Prior to Team IMPACT, VanRyn was with the Northeast-10 Conference office for eight years, ending as Associate Commissioner. Before her time with the NE-10 she spent time at AHL, WPGA, Albany Attack (NLL), Salve Regina University, and MIT. A native of South Hadley, MA, she received her Masters Degree in Sports Management from Springfield College after earning her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Union College. VanRyn enjoys running and doing Yoga, as well as coaching volleyball in her free time. She is also proud mom to her 2-year-old, Kace.
When asked, “Why Team IMPACT?” Amy said:
I learned of Team IMPACT while I was the Associate Commissioner at the Northeast-10, a Division II league. The Northeast-10 was the first conference to partner with Team IMPACT, and after attending the first gala, I was taken with the mission. I had been involved with student-athlete development most of my career and this seemed like an incredible way to have an impact on student-athletes across the country.
