Emma joined Team IMPACT in February of 2020 and serves as a Case Manager for the Northeast Region. In this role, she supports families and college athletic teams throughout their match by fostering communication and celebrating milestones to ensure the best possible outcomes for all.
She earned her Master of Child Life and Family Centered Care Degree from Boston University and her bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University. She has volunteered at Boston Children’s Hospital, interned at Tufts Floating Hospital for Children, Boston Children’s Hospital and Team IMPACT, and has spent many years working as a toddler and preschool teacher. Specifically, she has experience engaging with the pediatric population in hospital inpatient and intensive care settings. During her internship at Team IMPACT, Emma played a key role in supporting the Regional Director, Programs-Northeast, in building relationships with local hospitals and universities and supporting families throughout the match up process.
In her free time, Emma enjoys spending time with her family and friends and exploring new places and activities. Some of her favorite activities include skiing, wake surfing, and boating.
When asked the question, “Why Team IMPACT?” Emma said:
In the last semester of my Master’s program, I had the honor of witnessing first-hand the positive influence Team IMPACT has on the lives of children and college athletic teams as an intern. In this role, I formed a passion for the organization’s mission and values which motivated me to want to do more for the populations served. Support for children and families outside of the hospital setting is so important and Team IMPACT gives me the opportunity to provide that in a fun and exciting way. I am so excited to be a part of this team!
