Grace joined Team IMPACT in December 2019 and currently serves as the Match-Up Specialist for the Mid-Atlantic Region. In this role, she works directly with Team IMPACT families and athletic teams to coordinate successful matches. After getting her Bachelors in Social Work from Elizabethtown College, she earned her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, and focused her studies on social work in the health care setting.
Prior to Team IMPACT, Grace managed the Family Services Team at Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, facilitating emotional and financial support for families experiencing a childhood cancer diagnosis. She also has experience as a social work intern at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, working with the pediatric oncology population. In her free time, Grace enjoys going to the beach, traveling to new places, and being outside in the sun.
When asked the question, “Why Team IMPACT?” Grace said:
Working directly with kids and families is a passion of mine, and Team IMPACT allows me to do just that! I’ve learned that within the relationships Team IMPACT forms, the children who are battling these serious illnesses are typically the ones teaching and inspiring us the most.
