A Night of IMPACT: Sneaker Ball 2022

Team IMPACT’s Northeast team wrapped up a successful 2022 with an incredible night of impact at the Young Professionals Sneaker Ball. The second annual Team IMPACT Sneaker Ball brought together more than 300 young professionals, inspiring speakers, and entertainment in the Boston area, raising more than $180,000 in support of Team IMPACT.

Guests wore their best sneakers and formal attire and headed to the Revere Hotel in Boston for a night of dancing, laughter, and community. Boston University Head Men’s Soccer Coach Kevin Nylen and eight-year-old Pierce took the stage to share their personal experience with Team IMPACT, the unbreakable bond between Pierce and the team, and the vast impact this program has had on the team, Pierce’s family, and the greater athletic community.

In addition to Coach Nylen and Pierce’s powerful speech, key individuals from Team IMPACT’s Boston Young Professionals Board shared their passion for the program, inspiring other young leaders to get involved and make a difference at this critical time in life.

“Team IMPACT’s second annual Sneaker Ball was an epic night filled with incredible people supporting an even more remarkable cause,” said Madison Chambers, Boston Young Professional. “Seeing the joy and smile on Pierce’s face that night is why I am committed to helping grow the mission of Team IMPACT.”

“Continuing my involvement with Team IMPACT means the world to me,” said Conor Reenstierna, Boston Young Professional. “After drafting Kobe onto our baseball team through Team IMPACT in college, I was fortunate enough to witness all the good the organization can facilitate. Events like Sneaker Ball and Step Up to the Plate are so great because we get to introduce Team IMPACT’s next generation of young professionals to phenomenal kids like Kobe and their families. Of all the teams I’ve been a part of over the years, I’m most proud to be a part of Team IMPACT.

The Team IMPACT Young Professionals group represents a diverse assembly of individuals between the ages of 21 and 35 with unique and professional backgrounds who seek to identify and recruit community leaders while sharing Team IMPACT’s mission with their networks. The mutually beneficial relationship between Team IMPACT and the Young Professionals serves as catalyst for organizational growth and developmental goals while building the next generation of supporters, leaders, and philanthropists and creating a wide network of opportunities in development, leadership, and career counseling. Thank you to our Boston Young Professionals committee and volunteers for your hard work and dedication and to our sponsors who made this night possible. We could not do this critical work without you.

The Team IMPACT Young Professionals’ next event will take place on Thursday, February 23, at PKL Boston. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit one.bidpal.net/2023teamimpactpickleballtournament/ticketing.
